Longhorn on Devil's
Backbone
Mixed Media on
Gallery Wrap Canvas 40"x30"

The
“Devil’s Backbone” is a very curvy stretch of road on RM32 sort of between
Wimberley and Canyon Lake.
The road winds back and forth as it climbs and there are stunning views at the
top and even a scenic overlook.
The twisty terrain and accompanying ghost stories give this stretch of road its
name.
As an iconic Texas hill country location, it has been on my to-paint list for
awhile.
This is a pretty large painting, as I felt it needed to be bigger for the
subject.
