the land of cotton..."
The cotton field is a familiar sight in the southern United States,
with the highest production of cotton coming from the state of Texas.
I used a fluffy fibrous paper to create the cotton bolls in this painting,
which contrasts against a red pink sky that conveys the southern heat.
